The purpose of the Registered Behavior Technician examination is to assess knowledge of the RBT Task List 2nd Edition at a level consistent with that of an entry-level behavior technician. The RBT examination consists of 75 multiple-choice questions, and typically include up to 10 ungraded pilot questions. Candidates are given a total of one and a half hours (90 minutes) to complete the examination. Successful completion of the exam earns the RBT credential.
The Relias Academy Registered Behavior Technician Series practice test mimics the actual RBT exam and will prepare you for what you need to know. You’re able to take the test as many times as you need.
The RBT Competency Assessment is the basis for the key eligibility and renewal requirements for the RBT credential. The assessment must be administered by a BACB certificant following completion of the 40-hour training requirement. The assessment involves direct-observation competencies based on tasks found on the RBT Task List 2nd Edition. The assessment must have been completed no longer than 90 days prior to applying.
